Skincare essentials

I’ve always really struggled with my skin and when I came off the pill a few years ago it really took a turn for the worst (I’ll do a separate post on this). My skin is oily and spot prone still but I’ve managed to keep it under control with the below routine. You’ll seeI use a real mixture of products with very different price points, but my main tip is to use a clean flannel everytime you wash your face (day and night), it might seem like a lot of extra washing but when you have a little one you’re doing more anyway!

My skincare must haves at the moment…

Cleanser:

I switch between these two, both really reasonable and I really haven’t found anything that works as well for me.

E45 Wash, £5.39(this is pretty much my favourite product in the whole world!)

Glossier Jelly Milk Jelly Cleanser, £15.50

Eye cream:

A lovely texture and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin.

No 7 Early Defence,£15

Serum:

I love both of these, The Ordinary is so reasonable and my skin definitely looks and feels more plump after using.

Estee Lauder, Advcanced Night Repair, £53

The Ordinary, Hyaluronic Acid, £5.90

Mask (once a week):

Although my skin is oily, I’m making a real effort to make sure I don’t strip that all away. This mask makes me feel like my skin has a large glass of water.

Origins Drink Up Overnight Mask,£25

Acid (a couple of times a week):

I debated buying this for a long time, but I received a sample last year in an advent calendar and have never looked back. It’s quite harsh so I’d only use occasionally, but it does make a real difference to the appearance of my pores and my skin feels so smooth.

Alpha H Liquid Gold,£33.50

Moisturiser:

I’m never sure what I need from a moisturiser, but this one is a great price and doesn’t clog my pores.

The Ordinary, £5.00 (this always sells out, so if you see it just buy it!)
